Harlow North would provide Harlow with the additional critical mass and
regenerative dynamism to fulfil its potential as an important, prosperous and attractive sub-regional centre.

Why Harlow North? Why now?

To meet the rapidly growing housing demand in the East of England region with a compact, strategically planned, high density and high amenity place of character and quality. This will be built alongside and fully integrated with the existing development – rather than relatively unplanned, car-dependent sprawl.

To regenerate Harlow and build the critical mass necessary for socially, environmentally and economically sustainable mixed-use neighbourhoods and associated public transport, energy, water and waste infrastructure and services so that Harlow can become a sub-regional centre.

To allow Harlow greater economic
self-sufficiency
by providing new housing types, commercial space and amenities to complement the town's existing stock and needs.

To build on the strength of Harlow's location between London Docklands and Cambridge, with Stansted nearby.
